Hello there!

I’m C Mae Collier. Often known as Mum Mum, Chet’s mom, Ori’s mom, and hey you!

I love all the hats I wear. Grandmother, friend to my loyal Corgi Chet, rider and companion in exploration to my dear Arabian Origami. Life companion to my sweet husband, John. Mother of two children who grew up delightfully and whose lives with their spouses and daughters give me lots of story ideas.  My friends and family tell me that I am a hopeless optimist ( except when I’m gloomy), that I never sit still (true), and that I was meant to write stories for kids.

One of my earliest memories is of my mom sitting beside me on the couch in the living room, reading my favorite story … again …  while she kept an ear on supper cooking in the kitchen. When I started kindergarten, her friends were astounded that I could already read, especially since I couldn’t talk so anyone could understand me. Alas, my mom had to tell them I had the book memorized. It was a nifty story about some mice having a picnic by the creek. I can still see the illustrations if I squeeze my eyes shut a little.

And now here I am, writing stories myself. I hope they entertain and inspire you!
